Los Angeles Veteran's Quilt Project
Quilts are made for wounded veterans from the Iraq and
Afghanistan wars. We want to thank them for their service by providing each
veteran a new homemade quilt when they register for medical services on their
return home to the Greater Los Angeles Area. If you are interested in
helping, there are a number of choices for you. There is a quilt workshop
which is open for volunteers who would like to assist with the creation of
quilts. Contributions are also accepted to purchase batting for the quilts.
Workshops are held on the third Tuesday of each
month from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. at the V.A. Medical Center - North Hills,
16111 Plummer Street, North Hills, CA 91343; Phone: 818 891-7711.
